LY Sweden Retro Line combines our popular Premium string lights with four carefully selected retro colours. With 20 replaceable E27 bulbs over 10 metres, matching lampshades, IP65 protection and the option to connect multiple strings up to 480 metres, you get a complete and decorative lighting solution for homes, restaurants and events.

Choose between Retro Green, Racing Red, Yellow Balloon and Orange Peel. Each colour is supplied as a complete set with coloured cable and 20 matching lampshades in the same colour, creating a coordinated and unmistakably retro-inspired look.

10 metres with 20 replaceable E27 bulbs

Retro Line has 10 metres of illuminated cable with 20 fixed E27 sockets positioned 48 cm apart. In addition, a 4-metre power lead is included, giving a total cable length of approximately 14 metres.

The close bulb spacing creates an even and decorative light that works equally well above a pergola at home, on a restaurant terrace, in a courtyard or across a larger event area.

Thanks to the replaceable E27 bulbs, you can choose both the brightness and overall look. Combine the string with amber bulbs for a warm retro glow, or select a brighter dimmable option when you want greater flexibility.

Four retro colours

Retro Line is available in four distinctive shades:

• Verdant Green – deep and classic retro green
• Racing Red – rich and expressive red
• Yellow Balloon – warm yellow with a clear vintage feel
• Orange Peel – rich orange inspired by 1960s and 1970s design

The coloured cables make the string lights just as much a decorative design feature as a source of light.

Matching lampshades included

Every Retro Line is supplied complete with 20 matching lampshades in the same colour as the string lights.

This means the cable, sockets and lampshades create a coordinated overall look with a distinctive retro-inspired design. The lampshades also enhance the decorative character of the product and make the string lights a natural part of the setting even during the daytime.

The complete design is particularly well suited to places where the lighting is intended to stand out, such as restaurants, cafés, hotels, pergolas, outdoor dining areas and events.

IP65 and designed for outdoor use

Retro Line is based on the same construction as our round Premium range and is designed for outdoor environments. The string lights are IP65 rated and use round H05VV-F 2 × 0.75 mm² cable with a PVC outer sheath and copper conductors.

This makes them ideal for patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, restaurants, cafés, hotels, shops and event spaces.

Connectable up to 480 metres

If you need to cover a larger area, multiple Retro Line strings can easily be connected using the weather-resistant connectors.

The maximum continuous length is up to 480 metres, making the range flexible enough for both smaller private installations and larger commercial projects.

Bulbs for your string lights

Each string light set comes complete with E27 bulbs that provide pleasant and energy-efficient lighting. 

If you want a soft, atmospheric glow, our 1W bulbs are ideal. The included bulbs are also dimmable. Please note that an LED dimmer is required for dimming. You can choose your string lights with 1W, 2W, 3W or G80 bulbs. Simply select your preferred option from the drop-down menu. Read our complete bulb guide here

What is included when I buy Retro Line?

You receive a complete Retro Line string light set with 10 metres of illuminated cable, 20 fixed E27 sockets, a 4-metre power lead with EU plug and 20 matching lampshades in the same colour as the string. The E27 bulbs you select when ordering are also included.

Are the lampshades included?

Yes. 20 matching lampshades are included and are supplied in the same colour as the Retro Line variant you choose.

Are bulbs included?

Yes. You choose which of our compatible E27 bulbs you want with the string lights, and the selected bulbs are included.

Is Retro Line ready to plug in and use?

Yes. The string lights are supplied complete with a 4-metre power lead and EU plug and are ready to connect to a standard 220–240V socket.

Can I replace the bulbs later?

Yes. Retro Line uses replaceable E27 bulbs, so you can easily replace an individual bulb or change the brightness and appearance later.

Can several Retro Line strings be connected together?

Yes. The strings can be connected using the weather-resistant connector and extended to a continuous length of up to 480 metres.

Can Retro Line be used outdoors all year round?

Retro Line is designed for outdoor use and the string lights are IP65 rated. They are therefore ideal for patios, pergolas, restaurant terraces, outdoor dining areas and event spaces.

Can the string lights be dimmed?

Yes. Our E27 bulbs are dimmable and Retro Line can be used with a compatible LED dimmer.
