LY Sweden Premium solar string lights are built for Nordic outdoor use and run entirely on solar energy. The powerful 8W solar panel charges the built-in battery during the day, giving you a soft, decorative light in the evening – with the same premium feel as a classic E27 string light, but completely independent.

The string light comes with replaceable E27 LED bulbs in a warm colour temperature of 2200K (a pleasant “incandescent glow” feel). If a bulb breaks, you simply replace the bulb – you don’t need to replace the entire string.

Replaceable E27 LED bulbs – replace a bulb, not the whole string

Unlike many simpler solar strings, this model uses E27 sockets with replaceable LED bulbs. That means you can easily replace a single bulb if it gets damaged, instead of replacing the entire string. You can also update the look over time with different types of E27 bulbs – and keep the same string season after season.

The string is IP65-rated, meaning it’s designed to withstand rain, moisture and tough outdoor conditions. It’s a safe choice for permanent installation on a patio, along railings or in a pergola – even when the weather changes.

How it works

Important about solar power in the Nordics

Solar products work best during spring, summer and early autumn when days are bright. During winter in the Nordics (few daylight hours), runtime may be shorter. For best winter performance, we recommend charging the panel via USB-C.

Tips for maximum runtime

• Place the solar panel as sunny as possible, preferably facing south.
• Angle the panel so the sun hits it more “straight on” – this improves charging.
• Clean the panel occasionally from pollen/dust to maintain efficiency.
• First use: fully charge the panel before use (see below).
